Adventure 95: Ice Castles in Midway

The recent warmer weather may have melted these by now, but if you missed this place this year, put it on your list for next year!

They make these 'ice castles' by shooting hoses of hot water into the air, and this is how the water freezes. This looks like hours and hours of hot water falling and freezing to me!

It's beautiful.

My friend Juan provided this adventure.

It really is a winter wonderland.

Yes, it's Olaf. A great photo op.

There are lots of families in this place, dodging the crowds is a bit of a challenge, but it's a cool little adventure.

You can see the newest shoots of hot water at the top of castles recently formed.

The whole area wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but there are a few separated areas.

Juan got a little bit stuck in one of those areas.

Beautiful, right?

As we were leaving... the lights went on.

Time spent on adventure: 45 minutes
Money spent: $0 (thanks to Juan)
Recommendation: 8 out of 9 adventure points! -- Just good clean fun.
