Adventure 5: The International Peace Gardens
I could not believe this place existed and I had never heard of it. It's such an investment of love and care. It shows in every flower placement and structure constructed. Twenty-eight countries are represented in this garden dedicated to peace. It's lovely. It really is.
I thought at first these gardens must have been built for the olympics as the first thing to greet the visitor is the 2002 olympic logo painted on the ground.

England.
Groomed hedges, and a tribute to Margaret Thatcher. It actually felt like England... at least the England in my head.
Korean Garden. I had to resist the urge to take 20 pictures of just this garden. It's definitely the most interesting in the sense it has such a variety of elements, including marks in the grass of structures that have been removed.
Vietnam garden
And a couple of more shots
I thought at first these gardens must have been built for the olympics as the first thing to greet the visitor is the 2002 olympic logo painted on the ground.
Upon closer examination of the plaques indicating dedication dates that took place in the 1980's, 1960's, 1950's, 1940's... I was floored!
I don't have all the gardens included here, but a few shots to give you a taste. Like anything that's real, the in-person cannot be captured with an iphone camera. But here's a taste of what there is to see. But it is a must see.
