Adventure 74: Chunga's

My friend Randall wanted to introduce me to a Mexican adventure on the west side. It took the form of Chunga's, a colorful little corner stop. An adventure it was!

There's even outside seating that looks like would be a party in the Summer.

The staff were attentive and friendly, and Randall noted the place was clean, including from what the view of the kitchen revealed. Randall is in the restaurant industry, and looks for these things. He approves.

I quite liked the simple, yet elegant design of the stone tiles on the walls and floor.

We got some chips with a delightful array of dips, and delicious guacamole.

Per Randall's suggestion, we ordered the 'el pastor quesadilla.' It was sort of a crunchy quesadilla, filled with all sorts of good ingredients.

Here's a view of the inside of the quesadilla. It was really good, but quite rich, and I wasn't able to finish.

They seem to get a good amount of business for lunch, we saw a good rush come and go as we took our time with our meal.

The handsome, and charming Randall. He almost finished his quesadilla.

Time spent on adventure: 2 hours
Money spent: $0 (thanks to Randall. From what I could tell, the food is reasonably priced)
Recommendation: 7.5 out of 10 adventure points!
